Robert started his investment banking career at Morgan Grenfell in London in 1972, joining the Commonwealth Development Corporation (CDC) in 1994, where he created a series of private equity funds investing in emerging market SMEs. In 2001, CDC founded Aureos Capital, which Robert continues to advise and which has developed successful regional funds for Asia, Africa, and Latin America. In addition to providing the GCP Board with strong leadership, Robert advises it on global strategy and the sourcing of capital.
Christopher is the former CEO of VISA International Inc. In recent years, he has watched the world of transaction-switching develop many solutions for replacing cash and cheque. He was previously CEO of Thomas Cook and he held various positions at American Express before that over a period of ten years. Christopher provides the GCP Board with strategic advice on the development of marketing strategies and on international partnerships in the payments industry.
William has been an investment banker for over 50 years, including a decade as director of, or adviser to, Morgan Grenfell. He was a Conservative member of the first elected European Parliament and Founder Chairman of the Institute for Fiscal Studies, a leading London think tank. He is also the co-author of "The Puritan Gift", rated by the Financial Times in 2010 as one of the Top Business Books of the last decade. Will provides expertise in global capital-raising.
Gerry has founded two successful start-ups, Progen Pharmaceuticals, an Australian pharmaceutical research company and Geobytes, the first company to successfully map the Internet to geographic location. His strategic planning knowledge, investor liaison activities and track record in guiding companies through various stages of growth are major resources to GCP's Board and management team.
Kim's significant expertise in product innovation, technology and commercialisation has been developed over almost two decades of designing products, platforms, and services. He has designed and implemented product and process innovations for many of the world's leading and largest organisations. Prior to founding GCP, he worked for international enterprise software provider SAP AG working directly on product innovation. During his time with QSI Payments, a leading software provider in the online payments industry, Kim worked closely on the development of the initial Visa 3D secure internet payment system ahead of Visa's global release.
Rob's extensive career in card products for corporates and organisations, large and small, including most recently 12 years with Assa Abloy AB, brings hands-on card product experience as well as an established global supply network to the GCP team. Rob is directly responsible for managing the sourcing and continued supply of card products to corporate customers. He and his team train, monitor and support each contract in order to ensure all GCP clients are reaping maximum benefit and efficiency from their transaction control and expense management system.
Trish's insight into satisfying corporate demand and defining future requirements flows from 25 years working with small and large corporations across Asia through her various positions in American Express. Her skill set provides a unique market engagement advantage for the development of client networks throughout the economies of South-East Asia, North America and Europe. Trish is responsible for all market engagements including marketing, sales, relationship management and international scoping.
